Overview

One internal system for the menus behind the app.

MenuBuilder gives the eMeals meal team an internal interface for managing the menus published each week to subscribers.

The application produces structured JSON files, a standard data format, in Amazon S3 for the eMeals mobile apps. It also publishes recipes to Amazon CloudSearch, the app's search index, to support advanced search.

The work replaced a workflow that required the team to manage meal PDFs by hand and added a more direct path from menu editing to customer-facing content.
